ELSYS (Elastic Layered System Software)

ELSYS conducts an elastic analysis of a number of layers with input being stiffness modulus (E), Poisson's ratio (v) and thickness. The user specifies the number of layers considered in the analysis. Any number of circular loads for which the contact pressure, radius and x/y co-ordinates are specified can describe the loading. A request string governs the type of output required which include stresses, strains and displacements in the structure at specific specified points. This software is a very flexible DOS based program which can be used for a variety of pavement analysis problems.

The user may use any system of units provided that consistency is maintained. For example - meters, MPa and strain - or - inches, million psi and strain.
